Receptive Ecumenism is a fresh ecumenical methodology emphasizing learning and listening which is flourishing in many contexts worldwide. In 2022, Sigtuna hosted the Fifth International Conference on Receptive Ecumenism, exploring how it might help us “listen to what the Spirit is saying to the churches” (Rev 2:7) and be an instrument for ecclesial transformation. Conference participants have contributed to a new anthology Spirit Flowing Like Water. In this seminar, the editors discuss the key themes of the book, the experience of writing it, and the prospects for Receptive Ecumenism in Sweden and elsewhere.
